APE Silverback™ tracking protection prevents websites from collecting and sharing your browsing data and stops trackers from building cross-site profiles of you.

Prevents and hides ads from appearing on webpages while you're browsing. With APE Silverback™ ad blocker, when you visit a website with ads, the blocker identifies the ad content and prevents it from loading. This means the website doesn't receive ad revenue for you visiting the site. Some browsers will be more lenient on first-party ads, which are ads that are loaded from the same server as the webpage they're on. This is to avoid breaking the site's other functionality. However, with APE Silverback™ we remove ads from websites that violate the "Better Ads Standards" which are the standards that discourage the types of ads that are particularly annoying to most people.

Allows you to browse the Internet without leaving any traces of your online activity on your device. In this mode, APE Silverback™ initiates a temporary session separate from its main session and your data. None of your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms are saved on your device. This means your activity doesn’t show up in your history and websites see you as a new user and won’t know who you are, as long as you don’t sign in because by default, your are not signed into any accounts or sites.

A privacy-based search engine protects your online privacy by not collecting or sharing your personal information, and by not manipulating your search results based on your profile or history. They also don't track your searches or browsing history, and may block other companies from trying to track you. Using a private search engine will improve your digital privacy and keep your data private. By default, APE Silverback™ uses Startpage™ as its search engine. APE Silverback™ also has a list of other privacy based search engines in it's settings that you can chose from to use for your private and secure web browser searches. And, APE Silverback™ also has settings for some popular non-privacy based search engines that you can also select from if you so dare.

Browser telemetry is a feature that collects data about how a browser performs and/or is being used. Theis data can include performance metrics, logs, errors, usage statistics and uncaught exceptions. This information is then typically sent to a server running at a central location for logging and alerting. Telemetry automatically collects, transmits and measures data from your browser, using your devices sensors and other processes running on your devices operating system to collect this data. It uses your device's Internet connection to transmit the data back to the browser vendor's central location. APE Silverback™ has no telemetry functionality and as a result, this means that we will not be able to detect and/or collect any data about your browser performance or usage. Giving you piece of mind that your browser isn't spying on you.
